A Blasphemy of an Apology
Last week it was dear karuna, this week it is Shoaib Malik.
Two people from two different fields.
Two irresponsible statements.
Both linked by one common thread - using religion as a divider.
I don't know if Malik was hampered by his obvious lack of fluency in the English language. Maybe he was apologising for not giving happiness with a victory in the holy month of ramzan. Maybe he wanted to thank his countrymen, for all their prayers. But he ended up saying Muslims of the world. Did he forget that our country has one of the largest muslim minority populations?
And why do people mix religion and cricket. Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan had to prove their talent before they could be called "Ideal Muslims". Modi idiot should have called them great INDIANS. Why isn't anyone calling Dhoni a great Hindu, Bajji a great Sikh and so on? No aussie thanked his christian brothers and sisters for their hatrick WC victory. No Indian captain has apologised to his hindu kin for our various defeats. Sania Mirza did not say thank you or sorry to "My muslim supporters".
I'm ready to give the benefit of doubt to Malik. But what if it was deliberate. Maybe it was the brainchild of a coach, teammate, PR person, or Malik himself. Lets thank muslims of ALL nations, india included. Let the stupid religious fanatics and idiots believe that every indian who happened to believe in Allah was a traitor and supported pakistanis. Let the pakistani govt extradict all the hindus living in the country for NOT praying for pakistan's victory (as only muslims prayed for pakistan - corollary - hindus did not pray).
We'll maybe get to read about the sudden honour killings, rapes, kidnappings of hindu girls, murder of hindu men, jailing of hindus for not crying when pakistan lost. Substitute hindus for muslims, win for lost and India for pakistan and we may have the same situation here.
For after all this is a country of idiots. Who'll blindly follow everything an A$$h0l|= leader says. Who are so into ridiculing our culture and beliefs and following misguided teachings of hatred as the only weapon for progress and protecting of "local culture", that they forget to stop, and use their brains for a change. Who never realise that most of the sound bytes/promises/oaths/statements of all the so called learned/leaders/stars are full of hot gas and CRAP at the same time.
That all this is being done to intice us into dividing ourselves along lines of caste, creed, religion, language, belief, skin colour, money etc, all for creating "vote banks" and making their own money banks richer.
All of us forget the past. Forget that we had a subject called history in school. That we read about the freedom struggle and the british policy for managing us. We have forgotten the british and their policy (except for the stuck in the past commies who seem to never realise that socialism died with russia's collapse).
But Malik remembered or was made to remember. Divide India along religious lines and they shall RULE. Well honey, WE ruled, not you.
